Oh please someone come forward and tell me this is an early April Fools joke! PETA is attacking MARIO! Yes, that Mario. I’m seriously in support of the Ethical Treatment of Animals, but really PETA? REALLY? Are you out of things to complain about? You have to hear what their website says OH! and there is A GAME!!! Where you are told to “Save Your Skin” Play after the jump!

Their Website reads:

When on a mission to rescue the princess, Mario has been known to use any means necessary to defeat his enemy—even wearing the skin of a raccoon dog to give him special powers.

Tanooki may be just a “suit” in Mario games, but in real life, tanuki are raccoon dogs who are skinned alive for their fur. By wearing Tanooki, Mario is sending the message that it’s OK to wear fur.

Oh but it gets better! They actually have a game on their website with Mario where you are told to “Save Your Skin” A skinless Tanuki racoon is chasing a flying Mario wearing his fur like a cape in this Mario-like game sequence. You have to play it! Click the link below!
