Unless you count the empty boxes and 15 yr old TV I have in the front room next to my bed (yes, my bed is in my front room. Why? I don’t have a couch….get off my back MOM!) then I don’t think this new study included people like me.

Apparently the average household has about $5,600 worth of junk lying around. Those toys your kids stop playing with when they were 3 but you don’t want to throw away because they have “sentimental value” could get you some new shoes. As we all know, daddy needs a new pair of shoes. Or how about that DVD of “Superman Returns” you bought because it was supposed to be the best Superman movie ever and turned out to be a Christopher Reeve wanna be jumping around in boy shorts! …..sorry, i’m still a little scarred.

The point is, there are plenty of things you aren’t using anymore that can be sold to put a little extra cash in your pocket. Im sure all of us have old toys, DVD’s, video games, shoes, sports equipment, old cell phones, bikes etc. that are just collecting dust around the house. Do the world a favor and stop being a hoarder and get rid of it!
