Where was this study when I was in school? I don’t think I hated many things about school as much as I did homework. I mean, you have me for 6 hours EVERYDAY. if you can’t teach me what I need to know in that time then you should reconsider your career. Thankfully those Aussies are on top of things like this.

A study out of Australia shows that homework

DOESN’T actually help students do better in school.  It is no help to those in Elementary, only slightly helpful to those in Junior High, and not really useful until the last 2 years of high school. In fact, the countries where students do more homework found that they scored LOWER on the standerized tests. The only reason researchers found that teachers keep assigning it is to make parents happy.

So be sure to keep your kids from seeing this post and then you can secretly laugh behind their backs as they struggle until the wee hours of the night on something that means NOTHING! Bwahahahahaha!
