Nothing really annoys me more than people correcting my spelling on my social media sites. It just urks me for some reason. It’s the same with when I talk and don’t say something correctly. Dude, calm down. I’m not giving a speech or writing a thesis so as long as the message is communicated then the goal was accomplished. “I think you meant YOU’RE” oh shut up. You obviously understood the post right? Thats the whole point of communication! So after saying that, it pains me to say that you should probably watch the way you post on Facebook. Why? According to a recent survey, 54% of HR workers say they have a serious negative reaction to spelling and grammar mistakes and 47% have a serious negative reaction to alcohol-related posts and photos. Since jobs like to check up on you by going on your Facebook page, if you are shopping for employment then you may want to stay away from posts like that. THAT’S NOT ALL! There are 3 more things that can put a bad taste in the mouth of your future employer that are WORSE than those.
78% of the people surveyed have a negative reaction to posts about illegal drugs.
67% have a negative reaction to SEXUAL posts.
And 61% have a negative reaction to profanity.
The majority of people surveyed said they feel neutral about political or religious posts.
