The opportunity has presented itself for you to leave your mark on the history of humanity! It sounds like I’m joking but I’m actually pretty serious and considering it. There is a company named Mars One that is in the process of putting together a mission to Mars in 2023. In the next few months they will be taking submissions from anyone interested in being a part of the mission. That means that YOU can apply and may even get chosen to be the first group of people in the history of humanity to land on Mars.
They are considering anyone interested in being a part of the missions to Mars. There is a catch of course…
Those people who go to Mars, will never return to Earth. You will be sent to the planet to establish a colony and build a society there. There will be 4 people chosen for the first trip and then a new group will be sent every 4 years. They have come out and said that being a fighter pilot of an astronaut are no longer criteria that will get you to the front of the pack. Now they want to see how you live with others and cooperate with people.
