App Of the Day 2/22


I wish I would have discovered this app before I went on like 6 different planes but OH WELL. Today’s free app is called “Crackel” and it allows you to stream TV and movies for absolutely free. Not of course they aren’t going to give you the new movies for free but they do have some great classics like “Talladega Nights” that you can watch at the push of a button. So if you are a traveler or have alot of down time and want to watch TV on the go, then I reccomend this app! Read more about it after the jump!

Too Much Make-up?


When men say they like you better without make-up we aren’t just trying to get on your good side! MOST of the time we actually mean it. However, you ladies don’t agree with us at all. According to a new study only 3% of women think they are more attractive without make-up on. I don’t wear it and I think I’m beautiful. So Much Nakedness!

If I were to lose my phone the one thing I would worry about is having to get all my contact information back. However, about 1 in 4 people have something a little worse to worry about. According to a survey of 2000 Smartphone users 26% have a naked photo of themselves on their phones RIGHT NOW! That is a lot of nudity for the world to see, now I can’t say that I don’t have them on my phone but I do know that you will NOT want to see it. So don’t bother stealing my phone. Also, of that 26%, one third of them have shared it with someone else.

We have all been there, beer is delicious but an occasional “Sex on the beach” is pretty tasty! However, if you want to keep your man-card intact then here is some advice from Askmen.com about what drinks you should never order in public! Not saying you can’t drink them alone in your apartment as you watch Desperate Housewives, just keep it manly when out with the boys!

App Of The Day 2/22


I’m the kind of nerd that needs to have all my album covers on my iPhone so that when I scroll through them they look pretty. So don’t be surprised that I love this new app I found called ‘Call Screen Maker” Which does exactly what it says it does. Instead of having NOTHING show up when your friend calls, why not something cute or scary or funny!? You can make whatever you want for them and have it appear when they call you! If you are planning on moving to a new city in the near future and you are married, you may not want to live in these Top 10 Most Unfaithful Cities. According to a survery done by AshleyMadison.com, which is a site you sign up for if you want to have an affair (I’ve HEARD!) these cities have the most people signed up. Facebook KNOWS You!

Although you may watch what you say or do on Facebook because of your job (Tell me about IT!) it still may give your employers more information about you than you originally thought.

Researchers from Northern Illinois, the University of Evansville, and Auburn found that looking at people’s Facebook pages for just ten minutes could predict how well they’d do on the job.

They had people in Human Resources look at the Facebook pages of job applicants and grade them on traits like intellectual curiosity, conscientiousness, agreeability, and whether they were extraverted.

After six months on the job, supervisors evaluated the candidates on the same traits . . .
