I actually bumped into a couple articles today with interesting facts about us guys and decided to clump them together in one. First, after a massive new global study, scientists have officially declared that women are LAZIER than men. 34% of women worldwide are “Inactive”, which means they do less than 30 minutes of moderate activity five days a week. 28% of men are “inactive”. In the U.S., overall, 40.5% of adults are inactive, including 33.5% of men and 47.4% of women. Sooo HA! Men are not as lazy as you ladies think we are..well I am but the majority aren’t.
Second, we finally have a logical excuse for wanting to go to sleep right after we are done doing the DEED. It’s not our fault, it’s science once again to save our butts. A team of neuroscientists in France have actually found that after a man’s climax, the brain shuts down its area for sexual desire and FLOODS with chemicals. One of those is serotonin, which makes him want to go to sleep. Women’s brains don’t do that.
As regular people we never get to see behind the scenes on movies before they are made. Who knows which actor almost got what iconic roles but either turned them down or had too full of a schedule. Some movie turned out better, some worse but we never even knew they were up for them. Bill Murray is one of those guys! He has been up for some EPIC roles but for one reason or another didn’t get them. For example, did you know they were originally going for a campy Batman in the 80’s? Until director Tim Burton was hired, Bill Murray was going to be Batman. Instead Burton went with a darker version of the caped crusader and signed Michael Keaton. Another movie Murray almost starred in was about a boy who loved his “mama” and wore “magic shoes” until they broke off while he was running from bullies. Yup! Bill Murray was almost Forest Gump. Everyone that was in school had a couple of different fears. Including the girl/guy you like finding the note you wrote to your friend saying how much you “looooove” them. The other one was your mom walking into your classroom with nothing but her pajamas on and her hair in curlers. Well it’s not only mom kids were worried about, apparently most teenagers are embarrassed by their dads. 60% are embarrassed by their father’s fashion choices, including bad hairdos and wearing socks with sandals what’s wrong with that?). Three out of four teenagers are embarrassed by things their father says and 30% say they’d pretend not to know their father if they saw him in public. Now that’s just SAD! Although when I become a dad I’m sure that I’ll either embarrass my kid on purpose or they will have their pants hanging down to their ankles and I’ll pretend not to know THEM.
With it being as hot as it has been lately, my AC has been working all night and all day long. Still it won’t go below 75 in my apartment and for me to sleep it needs to be at least 65 degrees. Otherwise I will toss and turn and be grumpy in the morning. It has been an issue with me for about a month and I just can’t seem to cool down so I can go to sleep. So usually I just strip and sprawl out in front of the fan like a dog! Thankfully I found this article that gives me some helpful tips on how to get cool at night. A theater in New York is about to debut a play that uses PEARL JAM’S music to create a, quote, “rock and roll adaptation of’ Hamlet‘.” All of the songs used in the play will be live versions of Pearl Jam songs. It’s a modernized version of“Hamlet”, of course, that takes place on the Lower East Side of New York. And when Hamlet sees ghosts, it’s while he’s tripping. The play is only running for this weekend at the HERE Theater in New York. If you love Shakesspeare AND Pearl Jam then this is probably going to be the best show of your life. |
Have you been on edge lately? For example, you specifically ordered your Mocha Frappe with a shot of Vanilla and when you take that first wonderful thirst quenching, ice cold sip you realize that they FORGOT it! Now usually this is a forgivable offense but not TODAY! For some reason you begin to contemplate the ways you can chop up the baristas body after you brutally murder her behind the coffee shop with a spork…just me? Let’s move on. The reason for this could be blamed on the heat outside. For years we have used the excuse “oh sorry, I didn’t mean to kick your cat but it’s just so hot outside that I’m a little tempermental lately” Well good news for you cat kickers! Science has totally got your back on this.
Now these are the kind of stories I like to find on the web! A survey by YourTango.com asked people what makes people of the opposite sex irresistible. Surprisingly, both men and women agreed that physical appearance WASN’T the most important thing. Sense of humor was voted the quality that makes people irresistible. Self-confidence was next. That doesn’t mean that women completely ignore physical features on guys. For years the ladies have flocked to my side in hopes to catch a glimpse of my attention. Well that’s the way I see it anyway, they could have just been around because they were trying to win some prize I wasn’t going to give to them on the radio. Or because they thought I was their ‘bestie” when really I had other plans. Either way they flocked ok? No matter what you think of your current boss, compared to this guy he SUCKS! That is unless YOUR boss is taking you and your fellow employees on an all expense paid 4 day trip to Majorca. Which is an island beach resort off the coast of Spain. If he is then I take it back, your boss is pretty awesome. Most likely though, he didn’t, hasn’t, won’t anytime in the near future be that cool.
Creditsafe is a finance company in Europe, and recently the owner decided to reward his employees for helping the company achieve 15 years of steady growth. So he’s taking them on an all-expenses-paid vacation. 46-year-old Cato Syversen will pay almost half a million dollars to take ALL 500 of his employees on a four-day trip to Majorca.
I’m sure you are expecting a HUGE list of things from clipping their toe nails and smelling them, to saying they know how to fix that broken thing in the house when really they have no clue. Well thankfully they narrowed the list down to just the main ones. A new article in Cosmo broke down the top things that men do that annoy women and what they can do about it. Usually I read these articles and laugh because it’s hilarious how little women actually know about men. In this case though, it’s pretty dead on. So I thought I would share for the ladies.
