I Need Some Space

“it’s not me, it’s you” is the right way to say it! Nah, it’s totally normal that you are going to want some “me” time in a relationship. According to a new study, 31% of wives and 26% of husbands feel like they don’t have enough space.  That’s right, women are more likely to want some space than men. if you aren’t as smooth as me, then you might not know how to ask for it without your significant other getting all OFFENDED. I once broke up with a girl on accident because I said “you know what it is, I just need some space” and she FREAKED out and hung up on me and never called me back. I didn’t want to stop doing the deed, I just wanted some time to relax before I approved an additional charge on my credit card. Some phone sex operators are just so dang clingy. But I have learned from this experience and have come up with some tips on how to get some space and not upset your partner. By “come up with” I mean found an article by Dr. Terri Orbuch who is a psychologist at the University of Michigan. These are her suggestions but since she most likely doesn’t read this blog, I’m going to say they are mine!

Yeah, you DID read that correctly! There are some things that Mama told you that actually may have directly affected your sex life. We all know mom has little nuggets of wisdom in her purse when you need them, like “You better shop around” and “there will be days like this” and you can’t forget “life is like a box of chocolates” but did you know the less creative advice probably helped you more. If you didn’t have a mom who was also a taller yoda (or the same size in my case) then click the jump and let my words guide you into your next relationship.

Job Advice

We can all use a little advice when it comes to getting a job, especially if you are currently unemployed. I have always sucked at the interview process, mainly because of that dumb “describe yourself in 5 words” question. It always confuses me! Do they want 5 different adjectives, a sentence that contains only 5 words? If I say “hard worker” does it sound like I’m lying, cause it feels like I’m lying even though I am a hard worker. Are they rolling their eyes at the stereotypical words I use? WHAT! JUST TELL ME IF I GOT THE JOB! AHHHHHHH! (puffs on inhaler)

See? I had a mini panic attack just thinking about interviewing. I assume I’m not the only one who feels this way, thankfully I found a cool article with tips on what to do so that you don’t look like an idiot in the interview. Click the jump for 3 tips to help you out in future job interviews….
