With all the “check-ins” now on our smartphones, it was only a matter of time before we started wondering where the most popular places in the world are. So that’s what Facebook did. They analyzed all their data to find the 25 most popular landmarks in the world. Among them you find the Colosseum in Rome, Wrigley Field in Chicago and oh yeah, T.G.I. Fridays in Norway (WHAT?) First problem I have with this is that T.G.I. Fridays in more popular in Norway than at any other location in America. Really? Has no one tried their onion rings? I mean, seriously. Delicious. The second problem I have with this is that I have no idea where Norway is and therefore should not be allowed on the list, and/or access to Facebook. When you really think about it though, how can you be mad? They apparently love Fridays and wish that they were in a place that always felt like it was Friday once you got inside. If you’re into Foursquare, or checking in places on Facebook you’ll probably like this new app! It’s called FORECAST and it allows you to tell people where you are GOING to be and at what time. As sort of a way to organize with friends on a moments notice, you can post where you will be in the future and have your friends meet you there! They can tell you that they are going to be there by hitting the “Me Too” button on the Forecast. It also allows you to post it to Facebook and Twitter, group chat in the app and you can recieve Foursquare points for your check in as well. Could be the next big thing, get it before your friends and you will be the cool kid!
