There was a comic back in the day called “Superman’s Pal Jimmy Olsen” which makes sense that Jimmy would be a guy. However, a lot of people are changing the history of comic book characters because also back in the day the people writing them tended to make all the characters white males.
The latest rumor to be seen is that Jimmy Olsen in the new Superman movie, is really JENNY Olsen. Rebecca Buller will be playing a character called Jenny Olsen. And there’s no mention of Jimmy.
Not quiet sure how I feel about this idea. They are making an ALF movie, which is the furry puppet from the late 80’s and his name stands for Alien Life Form. Just in case you didn’t know what I was talking about. The GREAT news is that when they make it, the guy who did his voice (Paul Fusco, also co-creator of the show) will also be doing his voice in the movie. The bad news is that it might be part CGI and part live action. The cool thing about the ALF show is that I still don’t know if he is real or not! The puppeteers were AMAZING on that show. Plus, it may be too late to try and do a movie about him, that is unless they completely reboot the story (which I’m sure they will) but I think what made the show great was the weekly problems he would cause to the family. It all takes place in the house, as a 2 hour movie I don’t see the story developing that much. Well, I guess we will see! Thoughts?
As regular people we never get to see behind the scenes on movies before they are made. Who knows which actor almost got what iconic roles but either turned them down or had too full of a schedule. Some movie turned out better, some worse but we never even knew they were up for them. Bill Murray is one of those guys! He has been up for some EPIC roles but for one reason or another didn’t get them. For example, did you know they were originally going for a campy Batman in the 80’s? Until director Tim Burton was hired, Bill Murray was going to be Batman. Instead Burton went with a darker version of the caped crusader and signed Michael Keaton. Another movie Murray almost starred in was about a boy who loved his “mama” and wore “magic shoes” until they broke off while he was running from bullies. Yup! Bill Murray was almost Forest Gump. So apparently kids are texting and facebooking and tweeting so much inside movie theatres that companies are thinking of doing something about it. I don’t understand what you’re facebooking about? I know I sound all “old” and stuff but I grew up with the tech age just as much as the kids did and I don’t see the point. I just paid $12 to watch a movie, there is no way I’m missing any part of it because I want to comment on my friends picture. It’s not like they can update about the movie that no one has seen right?

I’m sure you know of the famous “Help me Obi-Wan Kenobi” scene in Star Wars and wondered when we were going to be able to have 3-D projections like that in our society. You didn’t? Well I did! Either way, it appears there have been some insane advances in that technology. In fact, they can really do it! Its not the greatest picture quality but it’s the first projection that doesn’t use a screen. Don’t believe me? Well I have a video of it so THERE! Check it out after the jump!
Courtesy of Celebuzz, some blurry photos have been released showing Henry Cavill in the Superman costume. Only one pic shows the full suit but you can make out alot of the details despite the pictures being blurry. The suit is dark like Superman Returns but it seems to be more body armor looking than tights. Plus they have adapted the “no underwear on the outside” look that DC is going to be soon releasing. Well I went to see the movie “Green Lantern” at midnight last night and I thought that a review from a regular guy, and super nerd would be helpful to those that are wanting to see the movie but are hearing nothing but “critics” opinions. There is news for the Lord of the Rings fans! As you probably already know, 2 movies are being made for the upcoming “Hobbit” series. Which prequels the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Well they have officially released the names and release dates of these movies! It’s not just going to be Hobbit Part1 and Hobbit Part2 either, check out the names after the jump!
