Wait, you’re telling me that I just talk into this end and I can hear what my mom says on the other end of the phone? Is that new in iOS 6? Believe it or not we don’t really use our phones as phones anymore. We all knew this but they finally did a survey to show how much we use our phones for different things. Using it as a phone actually came in 5th place! And you’re saying to yourself “well yeah of course, everyone texts now” NOPE! Texting actually came in 7th place. I Need Some Space

“it’s not me, it’s you” is the right way to say it! Nah, it’s totally normal that you are going to want some “me” time in a relationship. According to a new study, 31% of wives and 26% of husbands feel like they don’t have enough space.  That’s right, women are more likely to want some space than men. if you aren’t as smooth as me, then you might not know how to ask for it without your significant other getting all OFFENDED. I once broke up with a girl on accident because I said “you know what it is, I just need some space” and she FREAKED out and hung up on me and never called me back. I didn’t want to stop doing the deed, I just wanted some time to relax before I approved an additional charge on my credit card. Some phone sex operators are just so dang clingy. But I have learned from this experience and have come up with some tips on how to get some space and not upset your partner. By “come up with” I mean found an article by Dr. Terri Orbuch who is a psychologist at the University of Michigan. These are her suggestions but since she most likely doesn’t read this blog, I’m going to say they are mine!

Don’t Eat & Drive

On occasion you can find me eating a sandwich, talking on the phone, blasting my music and looking at directions on my phone all at once! Suprisingly, I’m not DEAD! After reading this study I may have to adjust my driving tactics. Nah, I’ll just buy a bluetooth!
