A LEGO Hotel?!

Construction is underway on North America’s only LEGO hotel at LEGOLAND in California! Who doesn’t love LEGOS!? You can pretend you are taking the kids but we all know that it was YOUR idea to go.  The hotel will feature rooms and suites tailored for three different Lego themes: Adventure, Pirate and Kingdom. What’s more, large sculptures built entirely out of Legos, as well as interactive Lego features and play areas will be scattered throughout the premises. Other amenities include themed elevators, a buffet restaurant and a themed swimming pool.

The Lego hotel is set to open this April, start booking your plane tickets now! Check out the video tour below.

Pops Is Trippin’

Everyone that was in school had a couple of different fears. Including the girl/guy you like finding the note you wrote to your friend saying how much you “looooove” them. The other one was your mom walking into your classroom with nothing but her pajamas on and her hair in curlers. Well it’s not only mom kids were worried about, apparently most teenagers are embarrassed by their dads. 60% are embarrassed by their father’s fashion choices, including bad hairdos and wearing socks with sandals what’s wrong with that?). Three out of four teenagers are embarrassed by things their father says and 30% say they’d pretend not to know their father if they saw him in public. Now that’s just SAD! Although when I become a dad I’m sure that I’ll either embarrass my kid on purpose or they will have their pants hanging down to their ankles and I’ll pretend not to know THEM.

Has It Gotten This Bad?

SECOND ATTEMPT! So I’ve already written this blog once but the internet decided to go out and delete the whole thing (yay…) So let’s try this again! What is the world coming too honestly? When are people going to step up and say something? Let me explain, A woman in Florida was arrested for cheering at her daughters graduation. Yup, you read that right. ARRESTED for cheering. The parents were warned not to cheer for individual students, which means that we should all cheer equally for everyone. REALLY? Let’s be honest, I don’t know you, if your kid was to cure cancer right now and you told me. I still wouldn’t cheer for them. Why? Because I don’t LOVE your kid! I didn’t deal with his crap for the last 18yrs trying to keep them off drugs and out of the abortion clinic. Thats just the truth, you feel the same way if you admit it or not. It’s not like the mom was excessively cheering either, all she yelled was “Yay! My Baby did it!” and she was escorted out in handcuffs and had to pay $250 to get out on bail. Thats not all! A kid in Cincinnati was denied his diploma because…

Sounds Tasty….

Are kids just too lazy to steal their parents liquor now or what? The new thing amongst the rebelious children is to drink Hand Sanitizer. REALLY? It’s probably not as common as they want you to think but it doesn’t mean it won’t pick up soon. I guess an 8oz bottle of Sanitizer is equivilent to about 5 shots of hard liquor because it contains 63% alcohol. According to the LA Times at least 6 teenagers have been hospitalized because of it. First they were saoking tampons and inserting them and now they have moved on to this. I found 4 things all parents should know about this new upcoming trend so that they can be aware. Check them out after the jump!

Say Bye-Bye To Your BFF

If this starts to pick up in the US I think Facebook is going to get even worse! So apparently you are no longer allowed to have a “Best Friend” in some schools in the U.K. (What?) Teachers are actually banning students from having one and instead forcing them to socialize in groups. I don’t know about you, but having a best friend made it a WHOLE lot wasier getting through school. From not walking home alone, to having someone to cheat off of in math class. What possible reason could they have to ban kids from having a cheating buddy!

Educational psychologist Gaynor Sbuttoni explains:
